Titas Sadhu

One of the rising prospects in Indian cricket, Titas Ranadeep Sadhu, is a right-arm pacer who hails from Bengal. 

In her early age, Titas started off as a sprinter and a swimmer. However, her father had a cricket academy, which soon made her switch to the game. After taking up cricket seriously at the age of thirteen, she failed to make it to the state team on her first attempt. But she soon made it to the senior Bengal team and was the youngest member of the side, aged sixteen.

However, the Chinsura-born was dropped from the team after dull performances in her first two appearances. The talented pacer then impressed the selectors with her wicket-taking abilities in the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB)-organized tournaments. 

The youngster showcased her skills in the Women's U-19 T20 Quadrangular series, involving India A, India B, Sri Lanka and West Indies. 

After consistent performances for Bengal, Titas was chosen for the Indian side for the U-19 T20 World Cup 2023. She served as the side's key seamer, picking six wickets in as many appearances, with a spell of 2/6 in four overs against England, helping India lift the trophy. 

Delhi Capitals snapped up the 18-year-old for INR 25 Lakhs for the Women's Premier League (WPL) 2023.
