An ever-reliable fast bowler, Scott Boland is a professional Australian cricketer who arrived at the domestic scene in 2011, making his first-class debut for Victoria against Western Australia. He became a regular for the Victorian Test side in the 2013-14 Sheffield Shield season. 

After a consistent run for his State team, Boland made his ODI debut against the might Indians in January 2016 at the WACA and also toured South Africa, West Indies and Sri Lanka with the Australian limited-overs side the following year. He has his breakout domestic season in the 2018-19 Sheffield Shield, striking 48 wickets and leading the Victorians to the title. 

Making his debut in the third edition of the Big Bash League (BBL), Boland cemented his place for the Hurricanes after a cluster of appearances in the first three seasons. He was awarded the Hurricanes’ Player of the Tournament award after he struck 17 wickets in the tenth edition of the BBL.

The speedster brings in heaps of experience and adds valuable consistency to the Hurricanes’ bowling lineup. He leads the bowling attack alongside Nathan Ellis and Riley Meredith and will play a crucial role in the upcoming edition of the BBL.
