Player Bio

Hailing from Bangalore, Shreyanka Patil is a spinning all-rounder who bats more than decent. She is a right-handed batter and an off-spinner and plays for the Karnataka senior women's team. In the last season of the Senior Women's One Day Trophy, Shreyanka finished as the second-highest wicket-taker. With her performance, she has earned her place in India A Women's team.

Recently, the young lass was selected by the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for her base price of INR 10 lakh, fulfilling her dream of playing for her favorite team. The journey to this moment was filled with anticipation and anxiety for Shreyanka, who spent four sleepless nights hoping to be picked in the auction. When the hammer finally hit the table, Shreyanka was in tears upon hearing that she had been selected.

In addition to her cricketing talents, she has also played in a men's corporate match between Indigo Pilots and Rangeela Royals, where she took nine wickets and conceded just 24 runs.

Patil's passion for cricket started at a young age, and she even got a photo taken with Virat Kohli during the IPL team's practice sessions in Bengaluru in 2015. For her parents, who are a businessman and homemakers, Shreyanka's selection for the RCB is a sign that she has made it.

The young lass scored a total of 55 runs and took 12 wickets in the last nine matches, with her best performance being a 3-wicket haul against Baroda Women.

Getting to share the dressing room with renowned names such as Smriti Mandhana, Ellyse Perry, and Sophie Devine will give her a good learning boost.
