Player Bio

Born in Nashik in August 1997, Ramakrishna Ghosh is an aspiring fast-bowling all-rounder who burst into Maharashtra’s competitive setup during India’s 2022-23 domestic season. Making his debut through a T20 match against Karnataka in a Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy game, the speedster picked up the prized scalp of India’s forgotten Test star Mayank Agarwal to grab his maiden wicket in senior-level game.

Ghosh went from strength to strength over the course of the next few months and ended up making his List A as well as first-class debuts for Maharashtra during the course of the subsequent domestic season.

The cricketer also excelled during his stint with the Puneri Bappa team in the 2024 edition of the Maharashtra Premier League. A composed middle-order batter with the right technique for T20s, Ghosh scored 118 runs in the limited opportunities he received with the bat at a strike rate of 124.21. Moreover, the uncapped Indian all-rounder also picked up seven wickets in the process and delivered some tight spells for the Puneri Bappa at various critical junctures of the competition.

During the weeks leading up to the IPL 2025 mega auction, Ramakrishna Ghosh unfurled a remarkable all-round spectacle against Odisha. Picking up four wickets in his 20-over workload from the match, the 27-year-old also compiled over 100 runs across both innings to make some pre-auction headlines within India’s cricketing horizon.

Ramakrishna Ghosh’s all-round talent seems to have garnered much attention from Chennai Super Kings (CSK), considering the decorated franchise made its bid for the cricketer for the IPL 2025 season.
