Player Bio

Pyla Avinash, a talented all-rounder from Dosur, Achyutapuram Mandal, in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, has emerged as one of the most promising cricketers in recent years. Born on July 7, 2000, Avinash is a right-handed batter and right-arm medium-fast bowler, known for his aggressive batting style and ability to deliver under pressure. His journey from a small village to the grand stage of the Indian Premier League (IPL) reflects his unwavering determination and relentless work ethic.

Avinash’s cricketing career began in the narrow lanes of Gajuwaka, where his parents, supported his passion despite financial hardships. His father worked as an electrician in Abu Dhabi to provide for the family, while his mother managed the household and encouraged her sons to pursue cricket. Inspired by his elder brother Charan Tej, who narrowly missed selection in the Andhra Pradesh team, Avinash carried the family’s dreams forward.

His breakthrough came in the Andhra Premier League (APL), where his explosive performances drew widespread attention.

In that APL season, he scored an unbeaten 101 off 55 balls against Godavari, impressing fans and selectors alike. Avinash also won the Orange Cap in APL’s inaugural season with 180 runs, further establishing himself as a powerful hitter.

His exceptional performance in the UCC Cup—scoring a double century in a T20 match—cemented his reputation as a future star.

Avinash made his T20 debut on November 29, 2024, against Maharashtra, where he scored 55 runs, displaying his ability to perform on bigger stages.

His consistent performances led to his selection by the Punjab Kings for the 2025 IPL season. With his eyes set on representing Team India, Avinash continues to work hard to make his mark in the cricketing world and fulfil his family’s long-cherished dream.
