Player Bio

An upcoming right-arm seamer, Nathan Barnwell is a professional English cricketer for Surrey County. The youngster used to play club cricket for Banstead and has featured regularly for the club since his U-14 days. 

Known for his express bowling, Barnwell is also a useful lower-order batsman who has stepped for the second string team of Surrey regularly in the 2021 domestic season. After his exploits for the second XI, Barnwell was rewarded with a national call-up from the U-19 English side for the limited-overs series against West Indies.

The 18-year old rose to the occasion in the third ODI, claiming 3 wickets for 30 runs from his 5 overs leading the Three Lions to the victory. A tall well-built speedster who can clock 140 kph frequently despite being just 18, the Ashford-born pacer would be hoping to break into the first team in the upcoming Championship season.
