Sneha Deepthi

Vootala Sneha Deepthi is a right-handed batter who represented India at the tender age of sixteen in 2013. However, she could only feature in 2 T20Is and a solitary ODI before being dropped. 

Deepthi started taking cricket seriously when she was in fourth standard, with her father arranging for her coaching classes in Visakhapatnam.

The elegant batter rose to prominence after scoring a double ton for Andhra Women’s team in a senior-district game against East Godavari in 2013. The consistent performances soon helped her get a national call-up. 

A couple of years later, the Vizag-born hit 350 in ACA North Zone inter-district women’s tournament while batting alongside her younger sister. 

Deepthi took a break from cricket to get married and gave birth to a daughter in February 2021 and was unsure of her cricketing career. However, the Andhra Cricket Association helped her make a comeback by providing proper training facilities. 

The Women’s Senior One Day Trophy 2021 witnessed the top-order batter scoring 78 runs in five appearances. In fact, she led the Andhra team on her return as well. 

Delhi Capitals secured the services of Deepthi for INR 30 Lakhs in the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2023 auction.
