Player Bio

Shohely Akhter, a Bangladesh cricketer, is a right-handed batter and an off-spinner.

Making her first international appearance in 2013, Akhter debuted on Bangladesh's tour of India. After her maiden T20I outing against India on April 2, 2013, she set her foot in ODI cricket a week later.

Albeit getting to play only two ODIs, the off-spinner has featured in 10 T20I matches for Bangladesh so far.

After 2014, her international career came to a halt for around seven years. She made her comeback at the age of 34 in the 2022 ICC Women's T20 World Cup Qualifier, also registering career-best figures (4-7) for Bangladesh against Scotland in the competition as the former won the match by six wickets. Overall, she claimed six scalps in five matches in the event.

The Rajbari-born is also a part of the Bangladesh squad in the 2022 Women's Asia Cup.
