Player Bio

Karan Sharma is a right-handed batsman who hails from Amritsar, Punjab. Known for his elegant strokes, the batter has a huge appetite for scoring runs in bulk. Representing Uttar Pradesh, Sharma has been really good at playing shots at the ‘V’ region of the ground.

The Delhi-born can also roll his arm over and bowl leg-spin as per the team’s requirements. The best part about him is that he has a potent googly to his repertoire and is known to outfox the opposition on seldom occasions.

The right-handed batter made his debut on September 20, 2018, in the Vijay Hazare Trophy (VHT), scoring 30 runs off 53 balls against Himachal Pradesh. He looked in good touch post his debut and made his T20 debut on January 9, 2018, in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) against Vidarbha. Sharma scored 35 of 23 balls before getting run-out. He looked decent throughout the tournament and impressed one and all.

In the IPL mega-auction of 2022, the 23-year-old was bought by Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) for his base price of INR 20 Lakhs. This is a golden opportunity for him to showcase his skills at the grandest of stages and make a name for himself.
