Born on April 10, 1995 at Chiniot, Waheeda Akhtar is a right-arm pacer who plays for Pakistan. 

Waheeda made her domestic debut for Faridabad in the 2012-13 edition of the National U-19 Women's Championship, wherein she scalped 11 wickets in six games. In the following year, she made her List-A debut in the National Women's Cricket Championship. 

In the 2013-14 edition of PCB National U-19 Women's Championship, the talented pacer scalped six wickets in as many appearances. 

She then featured in the 2016 edition of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Women Cricket Championship. 

Waheeda marked her presence in the Pakistan squad for the 2017 edition of the Women’s World Cup. She featured in two warm-up matches against Australia and West Indies. 

The 2018 and 2019 editions of the Triangular One Day Women Cricket Tournament witnessed the Chiniot-born pacer taking five wickets each. 

The 27-year-old rose to prominence by finishing with 10 wickets in seven games of the 2021/22 edition of the Pakistan Cup Women's One-Day Cup. 

Waheeda was named in Pakistan Women’s Asia Cup 2022 squad, which can see her making an international debut as well. 

As of September 2022
