A talented young batter, Shaik Rasheed was born on September 24, 2004, in Guntur. He rose to fame with his exploits for the Indian U-19 team. 

Rasheed garnered 168 runs in five innings of the 2021 edition of the U-19 Asia Cup and helped India to win the title trophy. Soon, he was named as the vice-captain for the Indian team in the 2022 edition of the U-19 World Cup. 

The showpiece event witnessed the skillful batter scoring 201 runs in four innings. In the semi-finals, he hit 94 and followed it up with a knock of 50 in the final to pave the way for India to secure their fifth U-19 World Cup title. 

Then, the 18-year-old made his domestic debut for Andhra across all formats of the game. In particular, he has 211 runs in 10 First-Class innings. 

In December 2022, Rasheed earned his maiden Indian Premier League contract with the Chennai Super Kings for a base price of INR 20 Lakhs.
