Player Bio

Manav Jagdusakumar Suthar is an Indian domestic cricketer from Rajasthan who is a bowling all-rounder - who bats left-handed and bowls left-arm orthodox spin. He was born on August 3, 2002, in Sri Ganganagar. He is a member of the Rajasthan state team, India A and Gujarat Titans.

Jagdeesh Kumar, Manav’s father, a physical education teacher in a private school, recognized his son's cricketing potential at a young age. At 12, he enrolled Manav in the SK Bihani Cricket Academy, a decision that would shape his future. Under the guidance of his mentor, Dheeraj Sharma, Manav's transformation from a batter to an all-rounder was a testament to his dedication and hard work.

Manav made his First-Class debut for Rajasthan in the Ranji Trophy 2022. He played only two matches and ended the season with a four-wicket haul versus the Services.

This was followed by his T20 debut in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy 2022.

Manav's exceptional performances in the Ranji Trophy 2022-23 catapulted him into the limelight. As Rajasthan's top bowler, he took 39 wickets, including eight and six-wicket hauls against Puducherry and Chattisgarh. His contributions with the bat were equally impressive, scoring unbeaten 96 and 64 runs against the same teams.

Manav debuted in List-A cricket in the Emerging Asia Cup 2023. The tweaker was the joint second-highest wicket-taker in the tournament with 10 dismissals in five innings. He bowled two three-wicket spells in the competition versus Pakistan A and Bangladesh A, respectively.

He was selected for the A series against South Africa but did not feature in the XI in any of the two unofficial Tests. He played the first unofficial Test of the series versus England A in January 2023 and picked five wickets combined. He also played an undefeated 89-run knock in the second innings.

In the Ranji Trophy 2024, Manav claimed a fifer against Vidarbha. He also batted ahead of his usual batting position in the season, showing progress as a batter.

Gujarat Titans recognized Manav's potential, and they picked him in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 auction for INR 20 lakh. His stint with the franchise as their net bowler in IPL 2022 and 2023 further showcased his skills and promise in the game.
