Player Bio

A young but wily leg-spinner, Jade Allen who has had a tremendous one year, before signing a contract with Sydney Sixers for the 2021-22 edition of Women’s Big Bash League. Domestically, Allen represents NSW Breakers and is still a teenager who has a bright future ahead.

Born in Cobargo, Allen works in the kitchen of her family’s owned Pub at South Coast, apart from being an extraordinary cricketer. From a very young age, she was identified as a special talent as, at 16, she was selected in the Australian Women’s U-19 squad to tour South Africa in April 2020.

The leg-break bowler has also been part of U-15 CA XI at the U18 National Championships and also represented New South Wales at various age-group competitions.

Later in May 2021, Allen signed her first domestic contract with the NSW Breakers, where she stunned the world and grabbed the praise of various pundits.

Following that season, a 17-year Allen was signed by the Sixers franchise for WBBL|07, where she made her league debut against Melbourne Stars. The youngster will be sharing space with the likes of Alyssa Healy, Ellyse Perry, Ashleigh Gardner, et al - which would be a huge learning curve for Allen.
