Player Bio
Sydney Thunder have a great scouting team and they have done a wonderful job to recruit another young Aussie sensation in Jessica Davidson. She is a right-arm fast bowler who is known to terrorize the opposition with her hostile pace bowling.
Born in Tamworth, Australia, Davidson was spotted at the age of 14 and quickly impressed the Thunder team management who kept an eye on her. Even at that young age she wanted to bowl fast and idolizes New Zealand’s Sophie Devine.
The speedster has been a part of the state’s pathways program for the past four years and is a recipient of NSW Cricket’s Basil Sellers scholarship.
Apart from her hostile pace bowling, Davidson is also a hard-hitting batter who has certainly worked on her batting skills.
Davidson provides Thunder with a great opportunity to have a young pacer who’ll be challenging to get the new ball at some point. Her ability to generate pace and bounce on the hard Australian wickets will certainly help the Thunder in the tournament.
