Player Bio

Born and brought up in Thane, Maharashtra, Nestor Dhanba is a professional cricketer for Oman national team. A canny operator, he bowl’s right-arm off-break and is a handy lower-order batter.

Dhamba was first capped for Oman in their opening fixture in the 2017 ICC World Cricket League Division three tournament against the United States. After just a handful of games under his belt, he spent almost 2 years on the sidelines due to the lack of consistency at the highest level. The 31-year old bounced back and made his ODI debut against Nepal on September 14th, 2021 and was clinical, picking up 2 wickets for just 25 runs in 5 overs leading Oman to victory.

Dhamba was named in Oman’s squad for the T20 World Cup in September 2021 but didn’t get an opportunity to display his skills as Oman failed to qualify into the Super 12s of the mega event.
