Player Bio

A left-arm pacer who is known for his vicious inswingers, Josh Boyden is a professional English cricketer for Lancashire’s second-string team. The 17-year old rose through the ranks playing age-group cricket at the Lancashire Academy.

After impressing for Lancashire’s second XI, Boyden earned a maiden call-up from the England U-19 side for their limited-overs series against the Men in Maroon. He made his debut in the second ODI on September 4th, 2021 but failed to pick up any wickets.

The left-arm seamer currently attends Parklands High School and joined Lancashire Academy from Wigan in 2020. Having already made six appearances in the Championship in the Second Division, he would be hoping to break into the senior side in the upcoming season.
