Player Bio

Jessica Toihi McFadyen is a New Zealand wicket-keeper batter who plays for the Wellington Blaze. New Zealand awarded her first annual contract for 2021-22, even before making her international debut.

Born in Wellington, McFadyen has been representing her district’s senior team since the 2015-16 season. She made her List-A debut in December 2015. Earlier, the stumper played her maiden T20 game in November 2015. However, she has represented Wellington since the winter of 2008.

In August 2021, the keeper-batter was added to the White Ferns squad for the limited-overs series against England as a reserve stumper to Katey Martin. She didn’t make her international debut then, but she is going to be an integral part of the national team in preparation for the ODI World Cup of 2022.

As of September 2021, McFadyen has played 48 List-A matches where she has scored 1153 runs at 36.3, including two centuries with a best of 153*. She also has impeccable numbers as a wicket-keeper with 54 catches and 38 stumpings across formats.
