Player Bio

A slow left-arm orthodox batting all-rounder, Nisarg Patel is a professional cricketer for the USA.  After spending seven years as a semi-pro cricketer in England, Patel moved to the US for better opportunities and was a part of the USA's U-19 setup.

A prolific all-rounder, Patel turns the ball more than any other finger spinners in the country and even topped the batting charts on multiple occasions for the Southern California Cricket Association. On his List A debut against Canada, Patel made an immediate impact against Canada with the Man of the Match performance in the final game of the 2017 Auty Cup.

With the US regaining the ODI status, the Gujarat-born spinner made his international debut against Papua New Guinea on September 13th, 2019. Patel was suspended from bowling after being reported for illegal bowling action against Nepal in February 2020. After a year of suspension, Patel’s bowling action was found to be legal and he was allowed to resume bowling in international cricket.
