Player Bio

A skiddy left-arm pacer with an ability to swing the ball both ways, Saurabh Netravalkar is a professional cricketer for the USA. Part of India’s U-19 setup, Saurabh scalped 30 wickets in the 2008/09 Cooch Behar Trophy to find a place in the 2010 U-19 World Cup alongside KL Rahul and Mayank Agarwal.

Despite being India’s leading wicket-taker for India in the U-19 World Cup in New Zealand, it took him three years to break into the Mumbai Ranji Trophy squad. He took 3 wickets on his first-class debut against Karnataka in December 2013 but it wasn’t enough for him to cement his place in the team.

The Mumbaikar moved to the US to find more game time and after impressing in the trials, he was rewarded with a callup to the US squad for the 2018/19 World T20 Qualifiers. His consistency at the highest level saw him progressing through the ranks and a year later, he was named as the captain of the United States' team. In December 2019, the speedster became the first player to pick a five-wicket haul for the US in an ODI fixture.

The 29-year old’s biggest weapons are his consistency of line and length, and ability to hit the deck due to a high ball release. Known for his exploits in white-ball cricket, Saurabh would be hoping to reach new heights with the US’ cricket team in the upcoming years.
