Player Bio

A dashing opening batsman from Nevis Islands, Anderson Amurdan is an aspiring cricketer who wants to represent the West Indies cricket team at the international level. He currently dons the West Indies U-19 jersey and is one of the brightest stars for them.

Born in Nevis in 2003, Amurdan emerged through the CWI Rising Stars U19 trial series in August 2021. While playing for Yellow Flamingos, the right-handed batsman scored a sumptuous century against Blue Dolphins at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Ground.

His performance couldn’t be ignored by the West Indies selectors, and soon was awarded a U-19 call-up for the tour of England. He played five Youth ODIs, in September 2021, where the batter from Nevis had an under-par series in the testing English conditions.

However, Amurdan has the potential to become West Indies’ flag bearer in the upcoming Junior World Cup, to be held at home.
