Player Bio

Born on October 21, 2001, at High Wycombe, Toby Greatwood is a talented fast-bowler and a proper batter in the lower order.

In his younger days, Greatwood featured for Maidenhead & Bray. Soon, he became a regular part of the Wargrave CC and Berkshire CC county teams.

After doing well for these teams, the fast bowler won the Elite Player Group ceremonial cap at Finchley Academy in 2020, where the budding cricketers improve their craft and prepare for their next tournament.

Soon, the 20-year-old was named in the Middlesex 2nd XI team for the 2021 edition of the Second Eleven Championship. He eventually emerged as the team’s second-highest wicket-taker with 18 scalps in 7 appearances at 24.77, with the best figures of 5/65.

This performance helped Greatwood feature in a List-A fixture for the Middlesex 1st XI team in the 2021 edition of the Royal London One Day Cup against Kent. The right-arm pacer made full use of his opportunity and finished with 2/30 off six overs, including a maiden.

In the 2022 edition of the County Championship, the Uk-born marked his presence in the Middlesex squad.

Apart from Middlesex, the youngster features for Oxford UCCE in the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) University Matches.
