Player Bio

A young promising spinner, Isabelle Wong is a professional cricketer for the Netherlands who first grabbed headlines in the Kia Super League in 2019, representing the Southern Vipers. Looking at her performance, Wong was called up to New Zealand to train with the English senior side and she is on the path to becoming the first England player of Chinese descent to play international cricket.

Wong made her international debut in a T20I fixture against Ireland Women on July 26th, 2021 and played two games in the series picking up just one wicket. At the age of 19, the Hague-born pacer was drafted in the Birmingham Phoenix women’s squad for the inaugural edition of The Hundred Women.

Having started playing cricket during her childhood days, Wong has made great strides over the past few years and it won’t be surprising if the youngster gets an opportunity to don the English jersey.
