Player Bio

Born in Oxfordshire, Oliver Joseph Price is an attacking right-handed batter who can bowl decent right-arm off-breaks too.

Price completed his schooling at Magdalen College School in Oxford, where he used to play and captain his school's first team. With some good performances, he made it into the Gloucestershire academy at 15.

The 21-year-old saw an astronomical rise in his U-17 and U-19 days with Gloucestershire and Oxford, where he was more than good with both bat and ball. His impressive performance for Oxford CC in the Home Counties Premier League was pivotal in getting his First Class call for Gloucestershire on July 5, 2021, against Middlesex in the 2021 County Championship.

The Oxford-born cricketer made crucial 30s in both the innings, including a 64-run seventh wicket stand with his older brother Tom Price. His List A debut came against Kent in the 2021 Royal London One-Day Cup, where his one wicket and 24 runs resulted in a win.

Gloucestershire's number 67 signed a two-year extension with the side in November, and his T20 debut came just last month at home against the Sri Lanka Cricket Development XI, where his 23-ball 33 went in vain as Gloucs suffered a colossal defeat.
