Player Bio
Louis Kimber is an English cricketer who plays for Leicestershire in the County Championship.
Born in Lincolnshire, Kimber started playing for Lincolnshire U-17 side, and was gradually promoted to the first team.
A right-handed wicket-keeper batsman, he made his first-class debut for Loughborough MCCU against Leicestershire in 2019, as a part of the Marylebone Cricket Club University fixtures.
He signed for Leicestershire in 2019 and used to feature regularly for their playing XI. He had a string of impressive performances for the second XI, which included a gritty 178 against Nottinghamshire.
In May 2021, Kimber signed his first professional deal with the club and was immediately drafted in the County squad to face Hampshire.
A doughty wicket-keeper batsman, Kimber has shown signs of maturity from a very early age. He nurtured his skills in MCCU and since then has gone from strength to strength.
