Player Bio

Jack Morgan Blatherwick is an English cricketer who plays for Lancashire in the English County

A right-arm medium pace bowler, Blatherwick started playing for Nottinghamshire and made his List-A debut against Warwickshire in the 2018 Royal One-Day Cup.

After a decent whit-ball season for Nottinghamshire, Blatherwick earned his opportunity in the 2019 county season. The speedster made his debut against Warwickshire and struggled for wickets on a relatively placid track.

Blatherwick played a number of games for the England under-17 side in 2017, but failed to get regular game time at Trent Bridge, making only five first team appearances. Following the retirement of Graham Onions in 2020, Lancashire decided to rope in Blatherwick ahead of the 2021 domestic season.

A wily pace bowler, Blatherwick has been unlucky in terms of the limited opportunities that he has received so far. An excellent death bowler, Blatherwick is still relatively young and has a chance to create a positive impression in the minds of the England selectors.
