Player Bio

One of the locally produced cricketers from Oxford University, Toby Pettman is a professional English cricketer who has honed his academic and sporting skills at Oxford. His talent was initially spotted by Paul Franks and Kevin Shine at the Loughborough University as part of a Centres of Excellence trial.

Toby made his debut in first-class cricket for Oxford in July 2017 and went on to skipper the University side. After impressing everyone with his pace and bounce, the 6' 7" paceman was invited to spend time with the Notts second XI before being offered a pro deal.

Yet to feature for his new club, Toby was solely focused on completing his studies until 2020 when he graduated with a first-class honours degree in Classics. Having been relieved from studies, the Kingston-born pacer now has the opportunity to make his sporting passion his sole focus.
