Player Bio

Born on June 04, 1998, in Philadelphia, Tara Gabriella Norris is a right-arm medium pacer representing USA Women in international cricket. She plays for Sussex and Southern Vipers in the England domestic circuit while representing Southern Brave in the Women's Hundred.

Norris spent the early years of her life in Spain and moved to England at the age of eight. She made her County debut in 2014 for Sussex. However, the 2018 and 2019 seasons helped the talented pacer make her name in the English domestic circuit.

In the coveted Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy, the 24-year-old scalped 12, 11 and 12 wickets in the 2020, 2021 and 2022 editions, respectively, for the Vipers. The 2021 edition of the Charlotte Edwards Cup witnessed the skilful pacer returning as the Vipers' best bowler with 13 wickets in seven games.

The Sussex pacer played for the Brave in the 2021 edition of the Women's Hundred, wherein she picked three wickets in six appearances.

Norris made her international debut against Brazil Women in the ICC Women's T20 World Cup Americas Region Qualifier in 2021. So far, she has bagged four wickets in five games.

In February 2023, Norris was snapped up by Delhi Capitals for INR 10 Lakhs in the Women's Premier League (WPL) auction 2023. With this development, she became the first player from the associate nation to be bought by any franchise in the inaugural edition of the WPL.
