Born on December 6, 1993, Sophia Luff is a top-order batter, who represents the  Somerset and Western Storm. 

At the age of 15, Luff made her debut in the County Championship. She cemented her spot in the Somerset team after averaging over 50 in the 2014 season. 

In the following edition of the County Championship, the talented batter hit her maiden century, in an innings of 138. 

Luff was a part of the champion Western Storm team in the 2017 edition of the Women's Cricket Super League, wherein she contributed a valuable 30 in the finals. 

In 2018, Somerset Cricket Board appointed her as the Women’s and Girls Performance Head Coach.  

The elegant batter garnered 127 runs in six innings in the 2021 edition of the Charlotte Edwards Cup, and also emerged as the best batter in the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy with 417 runs in seven appearances at an average of 69.50. 

Luff captained the Welsh Fire team in the 2021 season of the Women’s Hundred tournament and scored a mere 79 runs. 

The top-order batter has been in terrific form in the 2022 season. She slammed 251 runs at an average of 83.66 in the ongoing Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy. 

In six games of the Charlotte Edwards Cup, Luff accumulated 158 runs in six innings. 

The 2022 edition of the Women’s Hundred will see her representing the London Spirit.
