Player Bio

Danielle Rose Gibson is an English cricketer who currently plays for Western Storm in the domestic circuit. In the past, she represented her home county club of Gloucestershire. The 21-year-old bowls right-arm medium-pace and bats right-handed lower down the order.

The young sensation from Cheltenham made her County debut in 2014 for Gloucestershire against Oxfordshire.

In 2016, the right-arm medium-pace bowler was Gloucestershire's leading wicket-taker in the Women's County Championship after bagging 13 wickets at an average of 9.39 and best figures of 4-9 (7).

The following year, Gibson was again very impressive with the ball and picked her maiden 5-wicket haul in the 2017 Women's County Championship against Cornwall.

A year later, the right-hander moved to Wales ahead of the Women's Twenty20 Cup and was the joint wicket-taker for Wales with 9 scalps.

She made her maiden half-century in domestic cricket against Essex in the 2019 Women's Twenty20 Cup.

Post this, injuries and Covid made her life a bit bitter, and later the Cheltenham-born was one of the 41 female cricketers who signed a full-time domestic contract.

In 2021 she had an impressive outing with the ball in Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy and Charlotte Edwards Cup pocketing 10 wickets in the particular season.

The bowling all-rounder also represented London Spirits in the first season of Hundred, scoring 108 runs with an enthralling average of 180 and 3 wickets under her name.

Gibson has been retained by the franchise for the second edition of the showpiece tournament.
