Player Bio

Born on April 17, 1994, Plymouth, Amara Carr is a right-handed wicket-keeper batter who plays for Middlesex.

Carr made her County debut in 2008 for Devon. She was a part of the England Development squad, which claimed the Women's European Cricket Championship title in 2010.

She was a recipient of the ECB's Young Coach of the Year award in 2016.

From the 2017 to 2019 editions of the Women’s T20 Trophy, the middle-order batter played for Middlesex, while emerging as the champions in 2018. During this period, Carr was a part of the Women’s Cricket Super League as well.

In the 2020 edition of the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy, she was chosen as the captain of the Sunrisers team.

Unfortunately, Carr missed most of the matches of the 2021 season due to injury. She contributed just 19 runs for London Spirit in the 2021 edition of the Women’s Hundred.

In the 2022 edition of the Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy, the aggressive wicket-keeper batter scored just 61 runs in four innings, but she was excellent in the Charlotte Edwards Cup with 68 runs in two innings at a strike rate of 121.42.

Amara Carr will be representing the London Spirit Women for the 2022 edition of the Women's Hundred.
