A high-quality wicket-keeper batter, Ellen Watson is a professional cricketer for Scotland. Born in Prestwick in the West of Scotland, she arrived at the international scene in 2018 making her debut ahead of the ICC Women’s World Cup Qualifiers against Bangladesh women.

From her childhood, Watson was very fond of playing hockey and even wanted to pursue her career in it. A former pupil at Marr College, she played hockey for her school’s first XI in her childhood days. After taking up cricket at the age of 6, the Prestwick-born stumper has cemented her spot in the Scottish national team since making her debut as a teenager.
