Player Bio

A wily leg-spinner and a handy pinch hitter, Ben White is a professional cricketer for Ireland. White has been a cricketer from a very early age, but leg-spin came along after being spotted messing around in the nets. Despite a long-term connection to Phoenix Cricket Club, late 2020 saw White move to CSNI in Belfast

The Dublin-born leggie was a part of the U-19 Irish squad for the 2016 U-19 World Cup at the age of 18 and after four years, he was selected to represent Ireland A squad against the Bangladesh Emerging team. Ben has impressed many observers, particularly over the last 12 months, bowling with consistency, accuracy and most importantly, he has been taking wickets regularly that led to his national callup in July 2021.

White made his international debut in a T20I fixture against South Africa on July 24th, 2021 but went wicketless against a batting heavy Proteas. A legspinner can be a boon for any side if they are been utilized properly and the Irish management would be hoping the same for Ben White in the upcoming years.
