Founder of the Road Safety World Series T20 cricket tournament and chief of RTO Thane, Ravi Gaikwad was conferred lifetime World Peace Ambassador & Man of Excellence Award for commitment to the cause of peace and outstanding professional achievement.
After climbing the ladder of age-group cricket through the U-15, 17, and 19 categories, he found his calling during a Ranji Trophy camp for Maharashtra in his early twenties. For someone who was the H. Sc. topper in the state and double gold medallist in engineering, his love for cricket was explicitly high. But, he managed to leave the camp midway and decided to dedicate his days ahead to academics.
Son of the former MLA of Maharashtra, he was solely responsible for the inaugural edition of the Road Safety World Series in 2021 and was a part of the Indian Legends squad which went on to defeat Sri Lankan Legends in the final.
