Player Bio

Simran Bahadur is an all-rounder who plays for the India women’s cricket team and for Delhi in the domestic arena.

A dashing all-round player who bowls right-arm medium pace and bats with left hand, joined a cricket academy in Delhi and within a few years she played for India A team.

She played in the Challengers Trophy in 2018 and contributed in every game both with bat & the ball.

Simran’s stock rose in a domestic match against Andhra Pradesh in 2018. Chasing Delhi’s total of 139, the match was even-steven when Simran was brought back into the attack by her skipper. She took the opportunity and bagged 2 crucial wickets and also inflicted a run-out as Andhra surrendered and lost the match by 39 runs.

She continued to perform well for Delhi and was finally called into the T20I squad to face South Africa. She made her debut in the first T20I match of the series and went wicketless despite bowling at the right channels throughout the match.

She finally bagged her maiden T20I wicket in the third match of the series as India lost the series 1-2.

Simran has a long cricketing career ahead of her. Still raw at the moment, it is the responsibility of the team management to nurture her and refine her skills for the future international tours.
