Player Bio

Prashant Solanki is a right-arm leg spinner who hails from the city of Mumbai.

He made his List A debut on 25 February last year for Mumbai in 2020-21 of Vijay Hazare Trophy and celebrated a five-wicket haul in the match against Pondicherry.

Solanki’s lethal weapon has been his googly and he varies his pace very well in the air. His consistent line and length as well as ability to hit the same areas when required has given him a lot of success.

The Mumbai-based cricketer made his T20 debut on 9 November 2021, for Mumbai in the 2021-22 season of Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) and impressed one and all with his performance with the ball.

The leggie worked very hard during the lockdown and shed almost 20 kilos which he had put on over the years, in order to get fit and agile.

He registered in the 2022 season of IPL auctions with a base price of INR 20 lakhs and finally was bought by the Chennai Super Kings for INR 1.2 crores.
