Player Bio
An exciting opening batsman and a safe slip catcher, Graeme Smith was entrusted South Africa's Test captaincy at the young age of 22. He also happens to be one of the South Africa's most successful captains. The 31-year-old, who still leads South Africa's Test team, is the country's second-highest run-getter in Tests and is one of their most successful opening batsmen in limited-overs cricket. The southpaw was signed by the Rajasthan Royals for the first three seasons of the IPL. He was subsequently roped in by the Pune Warriors prior to IPL 2011, and will continue to represent them in IPL 2012.
