The 2021-22 season proved to be a career-defining year for Stubbs, as he was terrific in the List A and T20 format for the Warriors team.

In the CSA T20 Challenge, youngsters slammed 293 runs in 7 innings at a strike rate of 183.12 and was the second-highest run-scorer in the tournament. His top score of 80* came in just 31 balls.

The 21-year-old batter followed it up with a fine performance in the CSA Provincial One Day Challenge to accumulate 154 runs in 6 innings.

With these performances, Stubbs earned a call-up to South Africa A side on tour to Zimbabwe and returned with 39* and 17*, both coming at a winning cause.
