Player Bio

Zachary McCaskie is a Barbadian batter who received his maiden international call-up in the form of selection for the two-match Test series against Australia.

McCaskie made his List-A debut in 2019 for Barbados in a match versus Canada. The right-hander scored his maiden List-A ton in the Super50 Cup 2023 while playing his first match of the season versus Combined Campuses and Colleges.

While he has been around in the domestic circuit for quite some time, his first appearance in First-class cricket came only in February 2023 when he represented Guyana in the West Indies Championship 2022-23. In his debut season, McCaskey emerged as his side’s key batter, being their second-highest run-scorer with 303 runs in five games.

In his fourth match, the opener scored 92 and 55* runs across both the innings, starring in Barbados’ seven-wicket victory over Trinidad and Tobago.

McCaskie was further picked up for the A tours of Bangladesh and South Africa. He opened alongside Tagenarine Chanderpaul versus South Africa A in the four-day games and notched up two fifties in the second match of the tour.
