Player Bio

A young gun pacer hailing from Larkana, Sindh, Shahnawaz Dahani has had a struggling journey throughout his life and is living the dream of millions of youngsters.Dahani is a professional cricketer for the Pakistan national team and plays for Multan Sultans in the Pakistan Super League (PSL).

Dahani had one of the most memorable debuts in PSL history as he stepped onto the field against Peshawar Zalmi. He picked two crucial wickets of Sherfane Rutherford and Tom-Kohler Cadmore in the 17th over and gave Multan Sultans a glimmer of hope..

The bowler came into the limelight for his sublime performances in the 2019-20 Quaid-e-Azam Trophy, his debut first-class season. The cricketing fraternity was impressed with the attitude of the 22-year-old. A farmer by profession, the player  used to play tape ball cricket with his friends at a young age.

He has a brilliant rhythmical run-up, a bit of round-arm action which is perfect for reverse swing bowling.  Made for Test cricket, Dahani  has a good pace and handles pressure well.

The fast bowler got the selector’s nod for the South Africa and Zimbabwe tour after performing well in the PSL 2021 edition where he took impressive wickets and troubled batsmen to a great deal. Although he didn’t get an opportunity to represent Pakistan on an international stage, he would be looking to make the most of the opportunities presented to him in PSL.
