Player Bio

Utkarsh Singh is an Indian all-rounder who plays for Jharkhand in domestic cricket and for the Punjab Kings in the Indian Premier League. Born in Ranchi, Bihar, Singh made his first class debut for Jharkhand in the 2017/18 Ranji Trophy season and made his List-A debut in the 2018 Vijay Hazare Trophy.

In his first class debut for Jharkhand, Singh performed poorly with the bat in the first innings as the southpaw managed to score just 3 runs. However, he impressed everyone with his technique in the second innings with a fluent 47.

Singh made his T20 debut in the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy in 2019. His consistent  performance in the shortest format caught the eyes of Punjab Kings, who bought him for INR 20 lakh ahead of the IPL 2021.

Singh is a young dynamic player who has a great chance in the IPL to impress everyone with his all-round abilities. He might not get to play much, but sitting in the dugout with experienced foreign players will surely help Singh in the long run.
