Player Bio

Quality left-arm seamers are a rare commodity in India. But if there’s one player who is yet to unleash his full potential and could be the answer to India’s problem- then that player is Arzan Nagwaswalla.

A skilful bowler who has ample variations to deceive the batters, Nagwaswalla made his List-A debut for Gujarat during the 2017-18 Vijay Hazare Trophy.

After jotting down some impressive numbers in the white-ball cricket, Nagwaswalla was handed his maiden first-class cap when Gujarat crossed swords with Baroda during the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy. Nagwaswalla finished the game with just 1 wicket under his belt but garnered praise for his impeccable line and lengths.

He had an impressive 2019-20 Ranji Trophy campaign, where he scalped 41 wickets and helped Gujarat to reach the semi-finals.

Apart from the senior team, Nagwaswalla has also represented Gujarat at the Under-16 and Under-19 age categories.

In May 2021, he was named as the four standby players in India’s Test squad for their tour of England in August.

Recently, he was added to the India 'A' squad for their tour of South Africa. He is a quality pacer and has the ability to swing the ball both ways and that makes him a special player.
