Mukesh Kumar is an Indian bowler who represents Bengal in domestic cricket. During his initial days, he was malnourished and didn’t even have money for an MRI or to purchase shoes. Though he was not a contracted player, CAB supported him in every way possible and took care of him. His father was a migrant taxi driver hailing from Bihar in search of a career. The Kolkata-born made his first-class debut on October 30th, 2015, in the 2015-16 Ranji Trophy against Haryana in Rohtak. He dismissed veteran Virender Sehwag in that match. Later in his career, he also sent K.L Rahul and Manish Pandey back to the pavilion. Due to an injury in the 2015-16 season, the medium-pacer could not straighten his middle finger. However, according to him, it has come as a blessing in disguise as it helps him obtain movement. Earlier, he wanted to join the army or work in a corporate but chose cricket as his profession.
