Player Bio

Subhranshu Senapati is a twenty-five-year-old right-arm batter who plays for Odisha in India’s domestic circuit. The player made his debut for Odisha in the 2016-17 Ranji Trophy against Vidharba and ever since has been a regular member of the squad.

The player came into the limelight after an unbeaten 76 run-knock against Delhi in the 2016-17 season of Ranji Trophy. The Delhi pace attack was spearheaded by the tall lanky, Indian pacer, Ishant Sharma. He had a slow start to his career but made commendable improvements in the next season (2017-18) where he scored 427 runs for his side in eight appearances with an average of 53.37.

The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) have had an eye on the player for a while now as he has been a part of their camp in prior seasons as developing talent. The franchise was impressed by his ability to contribute with the ball and therefore spend INR 20 lakhs in the mega-auctions of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022.
