Player Bio

Vaibhav Arora came into the limelight when he was bought by Kolkata Knight Riders ahead of the 14th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL 2021).

Hailing from Himachal Pradesh, the fast-bowler made his first-class debut in the 2019 Ranji season against Saurashtra and grabbed 9 wickets in that match. In the first innings he sent six batsmen back to the pavilion that also included India's batting barnacle Cheteshwar Pujara.

The fast-bowler had an impressive maiden Ranji Trophy season 2019 as he finished with 29 scalps in just eight games.

After the resumption of sporting activities that came to a grinding halt due to COVID-19 outbreak, the promising talent got his first T20 cap against Chhattisgarh. He bowled impressively by removing both the opponent openers in the game.

Arora took 10 wickets in the 2020-21 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and ended the season as HP’s highest wicket-taker.

He made his List-A debut against Maharashtra in February 2021. In the Vijay Hazare Trophy, the pacer bagged eight wickets in five games, including a hat-trick in his debut game.

In February 2021, KKR acquired Vaibhav Arora for the 14th edition of the IPL at his base price of INR 20 lakhs. Arora idolises Pat Cummins and would be learning quite some tricks from his fellow Knight during the Indian T20 extravaganza.

During his maiden IPL stint, the promising-talent would be eyeing for his opportunity whenever he gets his chance. However, he would in a campaign that already has the likes of Cummins, Lockie Ferguson, Shivam Mavi, and Kamlesh Nagarkoti, which would make his chances to play harder but a golden shot for learning.
