Player Bio

A left-handed hard-hitting batter and wicket-keeper, Neil Rock is a professional cricketer for the Irish national team who is uncapped at the senior level but has been involved in the senior men’s team for the last couple of tours.

After representing his country in the 2018 U-19 World Cup, Neil arrived at the domestic circuit in 2018 making his debut in all three formats. He played 43 times for Ireland Wolves and the Ireland Cricket Academy since 2018, with his best innings for the Wolves being 58* from 33 balls in a T20 against the Namibian Men’s team in South Africa last year.

After a string of impressive domestic performances, Neil was included in the ODI squad for their tour to UAE and Afghanistan in December 2020, unfortunately, he didn’t play. Following his tour to Bangladesh for the Ireland Rocks, Neil was awarded the retainer contract by the Ireland Cricket Board in March 2021.
