Another pacer from Canterbury, Henry Burton Shipley, is a tall right-arm bowler who could be handy down the order with the bat. His skill set is much like a genuine Kiwi who could come in and get the ball move off the surface, adding some bounce too.

He recorded notable performances for the Canterbury A side, which helped him fast-track into the primary team. 

Shipley first played List A cricket during the 2015-16 Ford Trophy match against Central Districts. In comparison, he made his First-Class debut in October 2016 versus the Northern Districts at Christchurch in the Plunket Shield.

He received his first-ever contract for his home side Canterbury ahead of the 2018-19 season. T20 debut for him happened against Otago in December 2018, after which expectations from him grew more prominent.

Receiving a cricket scholarship from Lincoln University, he did a bachelor's in Property Management and Valuation.

Henry's father was also a cricketer who could not make it big on the domestic circuit, whereas he has already been impressive in his short career.

The Darfield-born received his maiden ODI call-up for the tour of Pakistan, where he made his international debut.
