Murali Vijay is an Indian opener in the longest format of the game and has also represented his home state in First-Class cricket and Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League. Having started playing cricket at the age of 17, Vijay was one of the top run-scorers of the 2006-07 Ranji Trophy, which was his maiden First-Class tournament.
Known for his technique and poise at the crease, Vijay is a good back up to have for any squad in subcontinental conditions. Vijay has played 103 matches scoring over 2500 runs in his IPL career.
