Pulina Tharanga is a Sri Lankan cricketer who plays as an allrounder in the Sri Lankan domestic competitions.
A wily leg-break bowler, Tharanga is also known for his hitting prowess in the middle order. He made his first-class debut for Singha Sports Club in the 2010-11 Premier Trophy.
Post his first-class debut, Tharanga struggled to cope up with the expectations that people had with him.
Till now, Tharanga has just averaged over the ’20s in 58 first-class matches with the bat in hand. Even his bowling stats are unimpressive. So far, the allrounder has picked up 31 wickets in 58 first-class games, at an average of well over 40.
Tharanga is still in the prime of his career and needs a confidence booster to rejuvenate his sinking career.
