A talented teenager, Anika Learoyd is a professional cricketer for the Sydney Thunders women’s side. A prolific run-scorer, Learoyd signed a two-year deal with the Thunders prior to the start of the sixth edition of the WBBL and made three appearances for the franchise.

Learoyd came into the limelight after an impressive season with NSW in the u-18 National Championships. She grew into confidence year after year and in the 2019-20 NSW Women’s Premier Cricket Competition, she amassed 541 runs at an average of 54 across all formats. 

At just 19 years of age, the youngster has already fulfilled her dream of playing Franchise cricket in the WBBL and has become an integral member of the NSW team.
