Zia-ur-Rehman

A right-arm fast bowler, Rehman made his List-A debut for Afghanistan against Zimbabwe A in 2017. 

In his debut first-class season, Rehman was the joint-leading wicket-taker, with a total of 55 wickets to his name. 

In 2018, Rehman was named in Afghanistan's U-23 squad for the Emerging Teams Asia Cup competition. 

The pacer made his international debut in a T20I game against Ireland in 2019. He had mixed emotions for his debut game, picking up 2 crucial wickets, but also going for 42 runs in 4 overs as Ireland almost chased down an improbable score of 211.

Rehman was drafted into the squad for the Test series against Zimbabwe, but he did not feature in any of the matches. 

There are so many young talented fast bowlers emerging from Afghanistan that Rehman is somewhat lost in the shuffle. In order to cement his place, Rehman has to work hard on his game and fitness level to have any chance of playing for the Afghans.
